Universal Display Presents OLED Technology Innovations at SID 2011 International Symposium, Seminar, and Exhibition

EWING, N.J.--()--Universal Display Corporation (NASDAQ:PANL), enabling energy-efficient displays and lighting with its UniversalPHOLED® technology and materials, today announced that it will showcase the company’s latest advances in its OLED technologies and materials at the 2011 Society for Information Display (SID) International Symposium, Seminar, and Exhibition, being held from May 15 - 20, 2011. The company will report technology advances and unveil a variety of novel prototypes to demonstrate the benefits of its OLED technologies and materials for OLED displays and lighting during SID Display Week. The company will exhibit at booth #1212 from May 17 – 19 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Sidney D. Rosenblatt, Universal Display’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will participate in the 7th Annual SID/Cowen 2011 Display Investors Conference on Tuesday, May 17 at 2:00 p.m. in Room 502B. Mr. Rosenblatt will join a session titled “Beyond Emerging Technology – Impacting the Display Industry in the Next Decade,” which will be followed by a presentation on Universal Display.

Universal Display personnel will also participate in technical sessions during the symposium throughout the week:

  • Dr. Mike Hack, Vice President and General Manager, OLED Lighting & Custom Displays and the event’s 2011 Lighting Chair, will present a paper titled “High Efficiency Phosphorescent AMOLEDs: The Path to Long Lifetime TVs” on Thursday, May 19 at 9:00 a.m. in Petree Hall C.
  • Dr. Ruiqing Ma, Department Manager, OLED Lighting and Flexible OLED Displays, will present a paper titled “Challenges and Opportunities in Scaling Up OLED Lighting Devices” on Friday, May 20 at 10:00 a.m. in Room 408B.
  • Dr. Peter A. Levermore, Research Scientist, will present a paper titled “Phosphorescent OLEDs: Enabling Solid-State Lighting with Lower Temperature and Longer Lifetime” on Friday, May 20 at 11:00 a.m. in Room 408B.
