UDC Korea Announces Construction of New Headquarters

EWING, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Universal Display Corporation (Nasdaq: OLED), enabling energy-efficient displays and lighting with its UniversalPHOLED® technology and materials, announced today the recipients of the UDC Innovative Research Award in Organic Electronics and the UDC Pioneering Technology Award in Organic Electronics. These awards were presented at the 19th International Meeting of Information Display (IMID) conference on August 29, 2019 in Gyeongju, Korea by Dr. Julie Brown, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Universal Display.

The UDC awards recognize outstanding individuals or teams that have demonstrated innovative ideas or research initiatives impacting the organic electronics industry. The winners were selected by IMID and KIDS (Korean Information Display Society). The recipients for 2019 are:

UDC Korea Announces Construction of New Headquarters

Additionally, UDC Korea is broadening its local presence and service offerings with a new headquarters in Pangyo Techno Valley. This new site will serve as the central point of UDC’s South Korean operations and will include a state-of-the-art PHOLED Application Center with laboratory space for device fabrication and testing. The expanded footprint of UDC Korea will enable a wider range of process development, testing and tech transfer studies to support its customers’ growth. The Company expects to complete construction at the end of 2019.
